Ok, so the rumour I’ve heard is that Mr. Wong is a triad… I’m not saying that he’s not a nice guy, but he just needs to clean his drug money. So un/fortunately? he exploits us international/exchange students by charging us 50HKD (~7.50AUD) for all you can eat and drink, including beer. Needless to say, these nights end never end how you expect.

Didn’t have a snag, vegemite, lamington or an Australian beer but, at the risk of sounding like a bogan, still proud to be Australian. A lot of people I’ve met here have told me how, to them, Australia is a country unlike any other, a place that contains people and places that can be found no where else. Perhaps I take it for granted sometimes.
Its not the first time I’ve been travelling outside Australia on the 26th of January, but it’s the first time I really miss it. At the same time, I know I’ve got friends and family who’ll always be there.
Sometimes I think everything is under control, sometimes I wonder.
Like, how and why do I need to explain these things.
7°C and no heating makes for pretty average days here in HK. So much so that I considered doing an assignment, well I actually attempted to start it but as luck would have it the website is down for Chinese New Years. Eline called it fate.
So I’ve been enjoying some quiet time to think and it’s made seeing friends once more as they make there way home via the residence a little less difficult. I don’t think undefined goodbyes will ever be easy but it’s harder to imagine what my life would be like if I never met them.
If you didn’t know already; visibilty, to me, is the single most important meteorological factor bar none. So I took the opportunity, just before the latest turn in the weather, to make a solo dash up the Beacon so that I could take this photo just for you.
Stop it and do something else.
Walk, run, swim, read, write, listen, learn, create, talk, laugh, enjoy.
Gage street lies on the outskirts of Lan Kwai Fong, that is, Hong Kong’s party district; you can imagine my surprise when stumbling upon this in a slightly inebriated state. Live fish generally isn’t much of a late night snack, but its much better than those “doner kebabs”.
